The All-on-4® treatment concept was first used successfully by Dr. Paulo Malo in 1998. Since then, thousands of patients have gained the benefits of this revolutionary option in implantology and fixed oral rehabilitation. All-on-4® is most notably marketed as “teeth in a day” or “same day teeth.” It is a unique treatment approach that uses as few as 4 dental implants to support a whole arch of teeth. It is cost effective and can be used in either the upper or lower jaw to support immediate fixed replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The best part – it can be done in as little as 1 to 3 days!
The All-on-4® Difference
Using this advanced technique, two implants are placed vertically in the front of the jaw and two back implants are placed at an angle of about 45 degrees. This angled placement allows the implant to overcome bone deficiencies in patients that would otherwise need a bone grafting procedure. In other words, less bone structure is required for All-on-4® implants compared to traditional implants.
The Remarkable Benefits of Same Day Teeth
The All-on-4® treatment concept was designed in order to solve the common setbacks of traditional dentures, such as premature facial aging from bone loss and denture instability that results in poor self-confidence in social settings and restricted diets.
With the All-on-4® implant system, patients can experience the following:
- Less wait time for permanent replacement teeth
- Easier recovery, less invasive surgical procedure
- Helps avoid bone grafting procedure
- Helps prevent further bone loss
- Sense of taste is preserved (roof of mouth not covered with acrylic denture)
- Preserves facial structure and increases lip support in some
- Restores oral functionality, including chewing and speaking
- Greater comfort than removable dentures
- Looks, feels and functions like natural teeth
